The clay is scattered: Potsalot on Magazine Street Uptown, Donovan at the far end of Oak Street in Carrollton, and Byrdies — a non-profit community studio — over on St. Roch Avenue. Mid-City has the gift shop, Home Malone on North Carrollton, which carries only work made in the Deep South. Down toward the river there's salvage on Marais Street and a plant shop on Press. The two garden centers are in Metairie, on Airline and Veterans, which means a drive.

It's grouped below by what you're after — clay, home and vintage, or plants and the market. Nothing here paid to be listed, and we haven't been through these doors ourselves yet. Several of these keep short weeks: the Uptown market is Tuesday mornings only, Byrdies opens Friday afternoon through the weekend, and the Plant Gallery is weekdays. Where hours are published we've noted them. Confirm before you drive.
