Uncommon Objects sits on Fortview Road in South Austin and describes itself, in its own words, as a one-of-a-kind emporium of transcendent junk. That is a fair warning and a fair promise: rooms of antique and vintage oddments, arranged with an eye rather than a system.
It's open every day, ten to six, and it rewards the kind of visit where you aren't looking for anything in particular.
